Can you tell this is a Scandinavian home?

  • Interior painting

As one of our Managing Directors is Swedish, we do take joy in working with Scandi clients and understand the cultural aspects of Scandinavian living. Our client was a Norwegian/British family in Berkhamshire with small children. They’d just had a new kitchen extension built and it all needed a coat of paint, along with the rest of the downstairs.

Decorating using Little Greene paint

We chose to be painted with a lick of luscious Little Greene paint, a brand that’s known for its exceptional quality and longevity. The range of over 250 colours is carefully crafted to provide a beautiful and long-lasting finish, ensuring your walls will look great for years to come. The brand uses only the finest raw materials, resulting in a rich and durable finish that will withstand the test of time.

Five top tips on how to make your home more Scandinavian looking

(From Diana, the Swedish Sultan/Managing Director)

  1. Light candles in the darker months.
  2. Bin your internal carpets. Scandis love rugs on wooden floors.
  3. Keep it minimal. Less is more in Scandinavian design.
  4. Convert your bathroom into a walk-in wet room. Again: minimal is key.
  5. Choose furniture with care. Ikea is okay, but vintage is best.
